jar full of sunshine

this morning was beautiful and i spent part of it outside picking dandelions. these little drops of sunshine dotted my yard, welcoming the warmth and the arrival of spring.

i was looking through quotes about dandelions, looking for something inspirational, i was reminded that you can make wishes blowing the dandelion seeds. also how much people call them weeds, these cute little yellow flowers that are so easy to grow and so useful. this batch is going to be saved to make dandelion wine (if you believe it, we don't grow enough in our yard to make a batch so i have to save them until i do).
i am glad to have the opportunity to spend them morning contemplating these wonderful plants and to express grateful for all that i have, even the 'weeds'.
